Over 2000 cyclists and hundreds of volunteers will take part in The Stroke Association’s amazing Thames Bridges Bike Ride. Every year the event raises around £300,000 to help us lead the fight against stroke which is the UK’s third biggest killer and greatest cause of severe disability.
Volunteering on the day is just as vital as cycling the event - and with lots of different roles and locations to choose from it can be just as much fun too! Opportunities include marshalling the route, being part of the start and finish teams, handing out water, awarding medals and actually cycling along with participants. All volunteers are given a T-shirt, travel and lunch expenses, a great experience and our eternal gratitude!
