The Phineas

Having been refurbished last summer, The Phineas is a spacious venue named after the mascot of an old tobacconist, which was regularly stolen by students in the 1930s. The kind (and probably harassed) tobacconist decided to present the highlander to the Union and the mascot now resides in the bar.
Here, you can study and socialise during the day, or head along in the evening to one of the nightly events. Pints start from £2.20 and wine from £1.80. Every night brings with it its own event from Jazz Jammin’ with UCLU Jazz Society on Tuesdays to the famous Brainsqueezer quiz on Thursdays.
