Dance It!
Dance It! is the volunteering project run by UCLU’s Dance Society. Currently based at South Camden Community School (SCCS) and working with inner-city secondary school students, the project aims to foster self-confidence, self-expression and an enthusiasm for exercise, alongside skill in dance techniques.

Scrubs'n'Scalpels
Scrubs'n'Scalpels is the volunteer project run by UCLU Surgical Society. As part of our project, we send out teams to local schools to present short workshops, either to GCSE or A-Level students, who may be interested in studying medicine at university.

MEDucate is a student run volunteering project that provides various interactive medical and health related workshops to primary schools.
The project’s main aim is to provide the children and volunteers with an exciting and enjoyable afternoon.

Math-o-Maniac
Our project was devised to stimulate primary school students' interest and enthusiasm towards maths. Maths was chosen as the key topic because it doesn’t only train students in critical and logical thinking, but also emphasizes its importance in our daily lives.

The project engaged both UCL students and members of the local community in raising awareness of the issues facing the deaf and hard of hearing.

Teddy Bear Clinic
The Teddy Bear Clinic is a project were we aim to ease the anxiety of young children when visiting health care professionals, to teach them basic anatomy and encourage healthy behaviour using fun and practical activities.

Junk In The Trunk
Regardless of year, June departures from student residences always bring sacks of problems - in the form of landfill. How to prevent good quality usable items from simply being thrown away is a real challenge.

UCL Maths Challenge
The principal aim of Maths Challenge is to present an innovative approach to mathematics, engaging primary school children in a fun, relaxed environment through problem-solving activities and logic puzzles - regardless of ability.

VIBE
Working in collaboration with RNIB, we get in touch with blind and partially sighted members of the local community who need help with everyday activities like shopping, as well as those who would like to do something recreational that they don’t normally get a chance to do, such as visiting a museum.

Kite Club
The idea of kite project came from the UCLU Kite club. As a young society, we aim to promote the kite culture both within UCL and local communities. We hope to set up a regular voluntary project with local communities, delivering kite making workshop and kite flying events to a range of disabled groups.
