Freshers

Here you can find out all the information you need about Freshers 2011. Remember to check back regularly as we will be updating these pages with the events and activities that will be run during the Freshers' period as we finalise the details.

Freshers' Week runs from 25th to 30th September and is certain to be one of the most memorable weeks of your life and a great way to start your time at UCL.

On Thursday 29th and Friday 30th September from 10:30am to 4pm, the UCLU Freshers' Fayre will fill the UCL Wilkins Building, with over 200 stalls (including over 160 of our clubs and societies) jostling for your attention.

Here at UCLU we're busy planning an amazing line-up of events and activities for this year's Freshers' Week following on from the massive success of last year. You can be sure that this year's events will rock your Freshers' socks off!

We're adding more and more events all the time, but check out what's organised so far:

• Trevor Nelson & Friends (UCL's biggest R'n'B party), Wednesday 28 September, Fabric
• Freshers' Ball, Thursday 6 October, Ministry of Sound
• Vodpop Opening Party, Monday 26 September, Piccadilly Institute

Have a look at our bars and cafes which will be open throughout Freshers' Week and will be the place to be for the pre-parties before heading to the big clubs for the Freshers' events above.

The bars and cafes are also open throughout the rest of the year and are where we put on a lot of our events and activities

Make the most of your time at UCL by volunteering with either one-off projects or regular commitments. The Volunteering Fair on Thursday 6th October from 12-3pm in the South Cloisters will showcase loads of ways that you can get involved while you're here.

Look, Try, Join is what we call the first few weeks at UCL which give you the opportunity to sample the extra-cirricular activities that clubs and societies offer through taster events before you sign up as a member for the year.
