ST. MUNGO’S - VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES WORKER

Tue, 31/01/2012 - 05:21

Volunteers are required to run weekly activities sessions at a St Mungo’s project for homeless people near Euston station.

We are looking for two sorts of volunteer;

-One is people with particular skills they would like to share, such as art or cookery.  This can help our residents develop new skills or rediscover old ones and can contribute to them gaining the confidence to access training or work experience.

-The other is people who are interested in running social activities such as games and puzzles groups, newspaper sessions, or smoothie-making.

The emphasis for all our activities is to provide social contact for homeless people who have become socially isolated and lacking in confidence.  If you are able to commit to providing weekly sessions of around an hour to ninety minutes for at least three months, we would like to hear from you.
