Thanks for your feedback

Thank you to all who took part in our online survey to provide feedback on our beta version of the new website.  We will be making a full assessment of the responses, including some of the very useful comments, over the coming weeks.  Generally speaking your assessment was very positive with an average overall rating of more than 7 out of 10.  Over 70% also rated the new website as better than the previous version.

The highest rating was for trustworthiness at 7.81 whilst the lowest rating was for it being a site you would talk to others about 5.06.  As mentioned above, we have plenty of further analysis to conduct on some of the comments but on the whole responses rated layout and navigation well. Some of the dislikes referenced parts of the colour scheme and we have already responded to this by lightening some of the grey areas.

Many respondents indicated their willingness to participate in the focus groups we will be holding to improve usability over the coming months.

Last but not least, our congratulations to Jo Moore, who won the prize of £50 Amazon vouchers in our prize draw.  Jo, who is studying an MSc in Global Migration, informs us that most of the prize has already been spent on books and long wanted garlic crusher!

The next steps with our website will be to release the full version next week.  This will include a new online shop with further functionality such as JobShop and a volunteering directory being added shortly after that.
