Rally at Academic Board

UCLU is organising a rally and lobby outside the next meeting of UCL’s Academic Board with staff trade unions. The meeting scheduled for July 10th is a special meeting being held specifically to consider Statute 18 reform. We’ll be assembling from 3:30pm at the Malet Place entrance to the Darwin Lecture Theatre with placards, banners, posters and leaflets!

This meeting of Academic Board is one of the only opportunities that has been been given to students and staff to raise their legitiimate concerns with both the implications of proposed changes and the nature of the consultation process in general.

UCL management are attempting to railroad through these reforms at a time when many students are away from UCL and many staff are busy marking exams. Students can’t stand by and let this happen; we need to show that we will not be ignored by UCL Management and show staff that they have broad based support from the student body.

You can read more about the proposed changes and the campaign here. For more information please contact Luke Durigan - Education and Campaigns Officer at ec.officer@ucl.ac.uk
